Agree with others that seeing racism in the Heineken ad is a bit of a stretch. "Light beer" is a well-known phrase and I'm sure most people understand it to refer, metaphorically, to the "weight" of the alcohol or calorific content rather than to the beer's colour, let alone people's colour.
But the Dove ad...well, I just don't get it at all. What supposed benefit of the product is it trying to convey? What's going on, what is the story it's telling? The two women don't seem to have used the product - they're still dressed - and who gets into the shower and *then* takes off their shirt anyway?!
