I'd be amazed if anyone could study Whitman in any depth and not come quite quickly across a reference to his sexuality - but some of the others are certainly less well-known.

(I'd say the case of Alexander is probably as well-known as Whitman's, easily, but of course his sexuality is less directly relevant to the reasons for his fame, so maybe it comes up less often.)
